Fibroadenoma? Here’s What Women Need to Know

DEFINITIONS
Fibroadenoma is a small solid lump and a benign breast consisting of glandular and fibrous tissue.

These lumps are usually found in young women, often found in young women.

CAUSE
The cause is unknown.

SYMPTOMS
Lump easily driven, the limit is clear and can be felt on breast self-examination (Breast Self-Examination).
Palpable rubbery because it contains collagen (strong protein fiber found in cartilage, tendon and skin).

REALIZE (Breast Self-Examination)

1. Standing in front of the mirror, look at the breast. In normal circumstances, the size of the left and right breast is slightly different. Note the change in the size difference between left and right breast and nipple changes (for example, are interested in) or discharge from the nipple. See if the skin on the nipple twisted.
2. Still standing in front of the mirror, put your hands behind his head and his hands pulled back. With this position it will be easier to find small changes due to cancer. Note the changes in breast shape and contour, especially at the bottom of the breast.
3. Put your hands on the waist and body slightly leaning toward the mirror, press your shoulders and elbows forward. Notice of change of breast size and contour.
4. Raise your left arm. By using 3 or 4 finger right hand, browse the left breast. Move your fingers in a circle (small circle) around the breast, starting from the outer edge of the breast and then moving inward to the nipple. Press gently, feel every lump or mass under the skin.
Do the same thing to the right breast by lifting his right arm and examined it with his left hand.
Notice also the area between the breast and armpit.
5. Click the nipple gently and see if your discharge from the nipple.
Do this in turn on the left and right breast.
6. Lying on your back with a pillow placed under the left shoulder and left arm is pulled up. Scan the left breast using your fingers right. With this position, the breasts will be flattened and facilitate the examination.
Do the same thing to the right breast by placing a pillow under your right shoulder and raised his right arm, and breast searches conducted by the fingers of his left.

Inspection no. 4 and 5 will be easier to do when the shower because the wet hands more easily moved and the skin more slippery.

Diagnosis
Diagnosis based on symptoms and results of physical examination.
Tend to lump and has a circular periphery which can be distinguished from the surrounding breast tissue, which often felt like there are marbles in the breast tissue.

To help establish the diagnosis is usually performed needle aspiration or biopsy.

TREATMENT
Fibroadenomas often stop growing or even shrink by itself. In these cases, tumors are usually not removed.

If the growing fibroadenomas, it must be removed surgically.
