Irregular Menstruation, careful Chronic Disease
Do not assume trivial when women experience irregular menstruation because it is the first sign of chronic diseases, from cancer, heart disease, so barren.
Every woman has a menstrual cycle is different and relative. But outside of these periods, normal periods come regularly every month.
According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine standards of a normal menstrual cycle is 22-40 days, where the first menstrual period is calculated from the first blood from the vagina. But the 5-day difference (less or more) of the menstrual cycle, is still considered normal.
But if women are not getting regular periods every month, then the disease should be aware SOPK.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (SOPK) is the largest endocrine disorders experienced by women at reproductive age. The disorder is characterized by menstrual cycle is irregular, hiperandrogen symptoms such as acne, hair growth or abnormal hair (hirsutism) in areas that are not supposed to.
SOPK among other causes of obesity, insulin resistance, hormone GnRH secretion disorders, disorders of enzymes in the ovary and genetic factors.
As a result, patients experience a cycle of not ovulating which is marked with menstrual cycle disorders of bleeding or just do not experience menstruation for 2-3 months.
SOPK is one cause of infertility in women, especially women in reproductive age. “Score more SPOK incident occurred in women at reproductive age than in the perimenopausal age,” said dr. Andon Hestiantoro, SpOG (K) in the seminar “The Essence of Fertility & Vitality ‘at Hotel Sahid Jaya, Jakarta.
“Because the cycles do not ovulate, then the woman with SPOK also have a higher risk of endometrial cancer, stroke and coronary heart disease,” said Andon.
To overcome the problem SOPK, could do with losing weight, using a combination of contraception and drugs trigger fertility. (detikcom)
